I witnessed Dionne Gordon not showing up to clients appointments nor even calliing them to apoligize. It's heartbreaking to watch her clients with their stack of papers sitting in the lobby and waiting for up to an hour. When Dionne finally calls them, she lies to them and say their was an emergency when really she just forgot or she was talking to someone who, accoridng to her, is more important and richer than the client. I know because she would giggle like a teenager about it. She even irresbonsibly take vacations during tax season. When clients yell at her, she just blames her assistant, or anyone else. Very unprofessional, passive agressive, conniving, and cruel.

This firm failed to file our taxes resulting in IRS penalties. LinkedIn Profile for Dionne Gordon. includes BBB logo. They promised a refund of fees paid and reimbursement of penalties, but have ignored all requests, so Small Claims was filed. A District Court judgment was issued against these preparers on 9/16/16, yet that order has also been ignored. (Background/more info: In March 2015, my husband and I retained Dionne Gordon., dba Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, Ember Accounting and Ember Financial Services, Inc. to prepare our 2014 income taxes. On 4/8/15 we signed the return for electronic filing and paid the fee. Our check cleared our bank a few days later. On 4/13/15 we received a letter from Jackson Hewitt notifying us our return had been completed and filed. That is false. No return was filed. On 11/23/15 we received notice from IRS of non-filing. In addition to not filing, the return had errors which a CPA discovered. Eventually, a return was filed. The corporate office of Jackson Hewitt has refused to help resolve this matter. Ms. G., the president of Ember Financial Services, Inc. and her associate failed to appear in court and have ignored all requests to pay the court-ordered judgment.
