We were referred to BP by a friend who owns multiple small businesses. We are not business owners, simply a married couple like most people. Perhaps, our wealth amount seems insignificant to BP compared to their other clients, but the lack of response and continued failure to provide answers to our repeated emails have been disturbing to say the least. When we first signed up, Jeff reassured us that BP would provide a personal service that BOA or Merrill Lynch cannot. We transferred our IRA account as well as set up a mutual fund with BP. We also requested that BP prepare and file our tax returns. Except for maybe the first year, especially while we were abroad, as we tried to coordinate our tax return filings, Jeff's responses to our questions were always delayed. This lack of timely response continued for several years but b/c we were abroad, we did not switch our accounting services. But last year, we found that for whatever reason our taxes for year 2015 were not filed properly b/c IRS has still to this date not taken payment out of our account and we have not received refund from the states. We must have sent Jeff more than 20 plus emails now as well as left multiple voice messages requesting that he fix this issue, and he has repeatedly ignored our request. He does not respond to our emails or return our phone calls. Now it is 2017, and we have to start preparing our 2016 tax returns, and yet, the problems with our 2015 tax returns have still not been resolved. We are at a loss as to what to do. The lack of professionalism b/c we are not BIG clients is just astonishing.
