Be careful!!!! This person is a fraud!! She charged us 1200 saying that she can get us PPP loan, and heres the thing! We didnt know it was ilegal for her to charge for COVID loans. She falsified information to begin with, now of course, everything was denied. Shes is threatening us saying that she is going to report us.. for what???!!! For paying you 1200 for nothing? She admitted that she did that for multiple people and even asking me if I know any other people that needs it even with felony charges she can get them approved. Now shes not giving us any refund of course. This was an expensive lesson.. do your homework before you hire anybody, had we known that she already has all these bad reviews, we wouldve stayed away.

I hired Monica Barger of One Stop Business Solutions and Houston Tax Defense to prepare and file my business taxes and manage my bookkeeping through QuickBooks. I requested copies of my 'completed' tax returns and finally after three requests was told that I wouldn't receive copies of my returns until I paid 'outstanding' fees that were due. Months were rolling by and I had no idea what was going on with my bookkeeping or my taxes. I had to hire another individual to start looking into it, because I was getting nowhere with Monica. This is what was found: Vendors, bank accounts and credit cards were never connected to QuickBooks. Nothing was recorded. 2020 bank transactions were matched to 2019 transactions. Transactions were matched to the incorrect GL account. Everything had to be audited, corrected and reconciled. Taxes were found to be inaccurate, not completed and not filed with the IRS. I was billed for all of this and told that my taxes were complete and filed by Monica Barger. I was billed for bookkeeping that was incorrect and incomplete. For example, receipts, check copies and deposit slips were never attached to transactions and none of my accounts were reconciled. I never had access to my own QuickBooks account and when I hired the other individual to look into Monica Barger's work, Monica denied us the ability to access QuickBooks as Admin - as she was the one with Admin access and I had to call QB and start a brand new QB account. Monica barger told me about the PPP loans and set up an account online so she could apply for these loans, on my behalf, due to COVID19 and used inaccurate, non filed tax returns to do so. Yet another total LOSS of time and money from this woman. Not only would I NEVER recommend Monica Barger, One Stop Business Solutions and Houston Tax Defense, this review is to serve as a Warning and for you, the business owner to Beware and choose a reputable, professional company/individual, with verified results to manage your bookkeeping and prepare and file your taxes.
