I have a little complicated taxes when I called to ask him many questions he was helpful but worried me of my options with the amount I made as an independent instructor. When I asked for some papers to look over he got mad and said I needed to pay him for the work because I was going to another tax guy by asking for the paperwork. With the way he acted I was fine going to another guy, also since he said on the phone there was nothing I could do to help me with my tax benefits. He said $60. I thought it was a little steep but I did have him file 3 extensions so sure. I just paid him and he didn’t even do 2 of the extensions and never even told me. So for 1 extension (a few button pushes) and a talk on the phone he charged $60. He was butt hurt and wanted me to pay for it. I was okay with paying for work but finding out he didn’t do it and never told me until AFTER I paid him was over the top unprofessional and trying to get back. Really he’s a nice enough guy but in this instance he did not act well for his business.
